She also has experience of working with premature babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and the Children’s Ward, at both North Middlesex and Barnet Hospitals in London, as part of the ‘Flying Osteopaths’ team with the Foundation for Paediatric Osteopathy (FPO) http://www.fpo.org.uk
Lifestyle choices play an essential role in rehabilitation, and Melissa is keen to use her knowledge and skills in this area to enhance recovery of her patients. In 2020 she completed a healthcare professionals course in Prescribing Lifestyle Medicine, which she incorporates in her everyday practice. Melissa has been practicing yoga for 18 years, and breathwork/meditation for 4 years. Her love of nature continues to inspire her osteopathic practice.
